I know you can't see it very well. I made this just now. It is 1:22 AM and the lighting in my room sucks balls.

Good job my Man !!

I thought you were leading into a gag - like shooting a blank at the camera.

You should see if you can re-do it with better light.

Your message, however, was very clear.

Maybe you could do one about dry firing to develop trigger control and to smooth the action on a new firearm ??

Thank you.

Doug

true :chk

my pistola is loaded 99.999% of the time, unless I have emptied the mag by firing it, then it gets reloaded rather quickly.

How exactly would you like me to attack the dry fire video? What would you like to see in it?

First a short safe-handling demo, then aiming at various stuff around the house and show trigger control from both SA and DA conditions. Balancing a quarter or a dime on the barrel to demonstrate curing flinch, and maybe discuss the empty chamber live-fire exercise (without blowing holes in your computer).

Should be able to do all that in about the same length of time as your other video.

Nice and concise.

Doug

This exercise is to determine if a shooter flinches in anticipation of the shot. It is mostly done with revolvers, but can be done with semi-autos and rifles, it's just a little more complex.

Typically the shooter has a coach - since you are doing an explanation, and you WILL NOT be actually shooting - you can do it without one.

Two methods:

1) The coach loads five chambers (of a six shot revolver) with live rounds, leaving one chamber empty. The shooter does not observe this process. The coach then spins the cylinder to randomize the event, gently closes the cylinder and hands the weapon to the shooter without the shooter being able to see which cylinder is empty. The shooter then fires the gun. If the hammer falls on an empty chamber and the shooter flinches, it is very apparent to both the shooter and the coach. If done for a flinching shooter dozens or hundreds of times, the flinch goes away.

2) Same drill, but 5 empties and one loaded.

Snap caps or fired cartridges may also be used.

I'm anxious to see your video.

Doug

Ok, I have done this. I just did not know what it was called. I will work on it. I just uploaded a few vids so it will probably be done tomorrow.
